Magic Spellslingers includes some great deck construction tools that let you take your collection and use it to build decks without having to manage individual cards. However, if you're not using an Android device to play, there's one feature that is does not work the way you expect it to. If you see a weblink that looks like the one below, that's a link to a copied deck.
Using the link above on an Android device should import a Ral deck if you have Spellslingers installed. If you don't, it will either take you to the Google Play Store or right back here.
Q: How did I get here? I thought I clicked on a deck link...
A: It's most likely that you are using a desktop computer or an iOS device and you tried to import a deck shared by someone using an Android device. On Android, you can Copy a deck. This creates a unique URL that will automatically import the deck into Magic Spellslingers if you go to that link on your Android device. But if you use any other type of device to visit that link, you'll end up here instead.
Q: Actually, I'm using an Android device! Why did the link open the Google Play Store instead of Spellslingers?
A: There are a few reasons why that could happen.
- An error in the link
- You don't have Spellslingers installed on your device
- Gremlins (maybe not, but who's to say for sure...?)
Q: But I really, really wanted to copy a deck!
A: There are two other ways you can copy ready-made decks in Spellslingers:
- The Deck Showcase tab will show you a variety of decks that you can copy. Some might require you to get more cards, but at least one should always be a deck you can build with your current collection.
- In the Team tab, you can share deck lists with your Teammates and copy ones they've shared with the Team.
Q: When will the PC and iOS versions of Spellslingers be able to copy decks like the Android version?
A: We are hard at work looking at ways to solve that problem. It's too early to promise when that's coming, but as soon as it is you should hear about.
